Scholarship

APPLICATION CHECKLIST

Your application will be considered complete upon receipt of the following items:

  • A completed and signed application

  • Most recent transcript

  • Two letters of recommendation from qualified adults who have worked with you at school, church, and/or in the community.

    • Examples: teacher, counselor, pastor, youth leader, etc.

  • For First Semester Freshmen: a copy of your college/university acceptance letter

  • A letter (written by you) stating why you are applying for this scholarship (special financial needs, etc.).

    • Please provide any additional information about yourself that might be useful to us in making our final decision.  This information should include your involvement in school, community, and/or church activities, your special talents, and your future career goals.

  • Please attach a wallet-size picture of yourself to the completed application.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

The Raleigh Branch of the NAUW is not accepting applications for the current year. 

 

Scholarship applicants may be male or female students pursuing an undergraduate degree at a four-year accredited college or university. College students of all classification levels are eligible (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior.)

 

When the application opens it should be returned by August 31, of the current year.

 

If you are selected to receive a scholarship, it will be awarded prior to the beginning of your 2nd semester.  You will be notified of our decision by October 31, of the current year.
